We were approached by Dolphins Day Nursery to help them with their complete rebrand. They were undergoing a change of direction. Investing in outdoor teaching facilities, they became Inspirations Nurseries and Forest School and they offered a different kind of childcare. They focused themselves on outdoor play, creativity, and child centred learning based on Reggio Emilia and Scandinavian Forest School.
They needed a new brand that reflected this change of direction. We undertook a thorough research of the business, looking at its values, its specialities and mostly who are their audiences. Through the design process we honed the possibilities down to a new logo, ethos, colour pallet and Inspirations Forest School was born.
The logo is childlike without being childish and picks up on the outdoor play the children undertake using natural materials to create visuals. The earth tones in the pallet and simplistic typography makes for a welcoming and nurturing feel without falling into the usual nursery clichés.
